How to be the QUICKEST player on you team....

This is what Alex Maroko , the author of "The Truth About Quickness" as to say about quickness:
"For years, going to the 1950's, coaches and trainers thought that athletes were either "born" fast or they werent and there was nothing you could do about it.
Athletes who WERENT born with breaknexk speed and quickness were relegated to sit on the bench and "fade away" in the background forever . . .
But then a few decades later, things changed.
In sports like track and field, specifically the 100 dash and other similar events, coaches found that athletes could in fact increase their speed, through specific training methods.
These methods included things like back squats, deadlifts and "straight-ahead" sprints for a certain distance.
So Naturally, these coaches took these methods and figured, "Hey if we can make these sprinters faster like this, then we can just do the same things with out basketball and football and baseball players and we will be able to make them faster and quicker too."
